Nuclear disarmament is a very big deal for the world and its countries. During the cold war the United States of America and the Soviet Union made hundreds of nuclear missiles. They never got to fire the missiles because they weren’t really in a war they were just showing of. During that time some of the Russian nuclear weapons were stolen by other countries or they were forgotten, lost or they were sold to terrorist groups. Today the big question is what to do with the weapons in third world countries?

The weapons that are in third world countries are very dangerous for them to have because the country is very poor or corrupt that they mite sell the weapons to terrorist or enemy countries like North Korea, or the country could use it against their own people. This problem is not only in third world countries but in well developed countries. They do not want to disarm their weapons because they feel that if they do they will be vulnerable to attacks from other countries. The big threat is that these weapons fall in the wrong hands like terrorist groups like al-Qaeda. The main principle that the weapons have to be disarmed is for safety. On April 7 2010 President Barack Obama spoke Prague, Czech Republic, the U.S and Russia agreed to reduce the nuclear arms of both countries’ by 30 percent since they are the ones with the most weapons. In the majority of the third world countries there is fighting between rebels and the government or the country is having a revolution or a war with another country. That will make the country unstable for it to have nuclear weapons. The country is poor and both sides don’t have money but they have nuclear weapons which they will sell to terrorist or other countries to support them with guns or money.

My solution would be to disarm or remove the nuclear weapons in third world countries. There should also be surveillance to see if nuclear weapons are being sold to the wrong people. That should also help the people in that country because there won’t be worried about their government turning on them or rebels using those weapons against their own people. Other countries will also be happy because there threats will be minimized. Countries should also stop or lower their nuclear weapons development programs so that there would be more peace in the world.

Model UN Reflection

The most important thing that i learned in model u.n was to talk better in public and to not be scared when talking to new people. i also learned that if i dress professionally i look very good and that wearing those types of clothing can make my chances of getting a job when going to a job interview. i also learned to how to make position papers and it also helped me on writing better essays. it also made me a little more cautious about what is happening around the world and in my own neighbor hood. what i learned in model united nations i can use it in everyday life because i can now speak to strangers with out freezing up and i now have a little more confidence in me than i used to have. I also like to dress professionally and when people see me they think i work in an office and they tell me i look and that i look like i have great thing in my future.if i wear a suit and people look at me the see they look at a nice looking and intelligent boy witch makes me fell good and my dad says that he is proud when people talk good about how good i am.
